I MISS US

What makes us miss certain people in our lives, for me I would say it is the degree of feelings that you have towards them. It can be your family members or your spouse per say, maybe your childhood friend or it may be something else. Well this will leave your mind lynched to a near death situation.

His name was John and her name was Mary they really loved each other so much to an extent that no one had idea if they were going to last that long in their relationship  but they kinder stunt everyone around them year after year day after day. They literally did everything together, they so happy having each other, they never miss the sunset nor the sunrise together. Phone calls , text massages or any mode of communication they could reach out for to know how one spent his/her day was always on speed dial in their  hearts being their network towers sending and receiving signals  was never a problem to them. 

The two birds really had it going for a long time, without any problem nor hiccups along their beautiful journey ,many admired their love circle and how they run it . it was like the twin story of Romeo and Juliet , all the romantic things they did together , the love they had which lit their way into sparkling reflections of diamonds which resembled their solidity in their  their  relationship. John never wanted this to end neither did Mercy. Thoughts of how they were going to end up broken one day was their worst nightmare and fear they had to get rid of sooner because if they let fear in there way of love that would be the start to their biggest problem and possibly the end to something that they spent a lot of time and energy to build to vanish into thin air and never to be felt again.

With all kind of support they had from family and friends, they reach on a decision both John & Mercy said they would love to live alone together with no one to disturb their peace and privacy. well both of the parents had no choice but to grant them that what they asked for but they had no money on them to rent their own place, John’s parents had a  big house that would fit all of them but Mercy had another idea in her mind she wanted  them to move into her mum’s house  but there was a bit of problem with space ,Mercy’s house  had three rooms that was what her parents would afford ,it was a hard choice to make for John but I was kinder test to see if John would consider Mercy’s opinion , John did not hesitate to say , well if that w will make you happy I will be happier too and disapproved his selfless opinionated of living in his parents’ house and moving out with Mercy.

Well no one would believe what they were witnessing even John’s little sister  thought that his brother was abounding his family and going to live with another family but she couldn't understand unless explained what was happening and John had some talking to do.

        “Jenny you are my favorite little sister, I love you and I wouldn't think of anyone more like I do to you and for me moving out does not mean that is the ended of us seeing each other or having you as my dearest one okay , I know she is the one who should join the family but with us I want to be the one to join her family and I need you to let me go with her okay”. Said John.

“but you will be visiting huh”. Asked Jenny.

“yes how would I not come over to spent some time with my beautiful family and also to see how you are doing plus Mercy would love to spent some time with you , go to the beach collecting your favorite shells okay”. John replied back to Jenny.

“Jenny you can also come over and spend a night or some good time with my brother Mickey”. Said Mercy.

Well after the short conversation it was time for John to move in with Mercy, they were happy, smiling and laughing as they hold each other’s hands puling in close rubbing their body’s against each other while they drove down the road as the summer wind blew through the air making the moment to be the most happiest and peaceful moment for the love birds, they traveled the whole night and before dawn they had reached where they would call home for awhile before they had their own. At the gate a sound rent the air mom we are here screamed Mercy, tires slowly gripping the ground and a slicking sound coming out of the car tires slowly coming to a stop at the front door, there they were Mercy’s parents stranding there looking at us, with no words to say I John quickly reached out his right arm the his father in-law and uttered the word …

”hi sir how have you been”.  Said John.

“Hi son am okay what about you too love birds…you look tired and hungry …let’s get you settled in fed too then you rest will talk later”. He replied John back.

Okay sir , Mrs.  Mcmiller thank you for having us. The pleasure is all ours.

Well the longest journey had just began, a journey that would really change their lives completely but they were ready and nothing could stop them now. Well days went by turning into weeks then into months and then into years. Out of the long years stayed together a fruit of their love come along the way and her name was as Mercy’s mom Rosaline Mollie, in her moms’ memory.

Mercy lost her mom to a tumor that really made her life hard at times that she never leaved long enough to see her granddaughter replica of herself very beautiful and always tops her class. With all this kind of love no one would ever break it and that what they used to tell each other for the longest time they lived together. Mercy was working as a waitress at a fast food shop along the road and John worked as a teacher at a nearby school. Every was well until one day one thing happened.

It was on a Friday evening John had just got home from work and there she was sited on the  porch  outside the door looking straight and direct to her husband  without a word, before he could open the door she asked “who was she, I normally see her around you pretty much and I don’t like her “.

“She is a childhood friend that’s all what more do actually want me to tell you that I haven’t told you”. John replied in a deep defensive.

“John what is going on please tell me I need to know, please I am pleading with you to put me on light here”. She asked as she held back her breath.

“Nothing and please stop with the questions okay I need to rest ,am waking up very early tomorrow , am going to bed”. John said as he slowly turned his back pushing up the left foot towards the bedroom.

“What about dinner darling please eat something”. She asked.

“No..No am not hungry”. John replied and walked away.

At that nothing was really going well for their family but the one who was getting hurt the most was the kid, this the dream no child ever wish to have while growing up and the most undeniable love of this two now was hanging by a thread, everything was kinder fading away and they couldn't do anything to keep it together no one was happy when they were all this problem around them not knowing who will be the first one to quit.

The person responsible was not John or Hanna  his childhood friend whom  kinder  had feelings towards him  ,the problem was in this small muscle  with four  chambers’ just behind the lungs enclosed in several strands of bones called the ribs  very much protected called the heart , that is where it all started but Mercy was not going to loose her husband  easily to someone whom they he grew up with.

A few days later Mercy suddenly would stop talking to John, whenever he would get home from work, she wouldn't lift her voice just to say or even ask how his day at work was. It took John to realize about the silence he was getting from his wife. The silence was taking tall adding injuries to the wound at this point both of them felt like giving up  , the perfect description of Romeo & Juliet love story turned to be the tragic ending of  the ship call Titanic.

The only thing that has always kept them together for this long was their little one Rosaline Mollie, amazing how our children can be that much bridge when things go out of hand within us adults, the silence was crushing John from inside and he had to let it out he got home from work as usual hold his brief case in his left hand while the other hand was kinder folded at the back. He slowly reached out his arm with a bouquet of flowers followed by a three letter word “I miss us”. John said in a low voice. “ I miss you too John”. Mercy replied back.

Well it took them a lot time to build on their trust again but they never lost faith in each other, it took them a couple of months to finally be same happy family they were before, but it seemed kinder tough because Mercy wanted John to cut communication with her friend, john said yes so quickly that she couldn't believe her ears anything you want me to do I will do it as long as I don’t loose you. Well it was the most emotional moment at that time, John not knowing if Mercy would forgive him just standing in the dark breathlessly without any strength to hold his up straight he sat down, before he could reach for chair he heard a voice, yes I forgive, he rose to his feet and looked Mercy in eyes and said “I don’t deserve you”. She replied back “it’s okay I forgive you”. They hugged each other plus there daughter at the middle   and everything was back to normal once again , everyone  was happy and smiling again ,the story which started as the one of Romeo  & Juliet  nearly ending up like that one of Titanic ended up being the most beautiful tale ever.
